What is the Alexander Technique?
Now over a century old, the
Alexander Technique is an educational method that teaches us
about the use of ourselves. We are designed for ease of
movement, coordination, and balance, but often the freedom of
movement we experience as children is lost by the
time we become adults. The Alexander Technique teaches us to
change and prevent harmful patterns of movement and behavior,
and allows us to regain the freedom and enjoyment of ease and
grace in everyday activities we once experienced.
